A pair of modern bronze eagle head bookends, each set onto a marble base. Although recently made, these bookends are reminicent of post-war allied victory memorabilia and remind myself most notably of the U.S 101st 'Screaming Eagles' Airborne Division. The eagles themself are of lifelike quality with this made ever more spectacular by contrasting the dulled look of the feathers with the dazzling polished beak.
